As a 'typical' girl I am big into personal grooming and in particular hair and beauty products. Having said that I am also very particular about what I use and what it costs. I have been using the same hair salon products for a very long time and have recently came across what is usually only a salon product ( not available from my salon) at a retail store at a price that made my eyes pop out. So I thought I would try it. And I did. I find that it is marvellous and I have switched as it is great value for money, does not need to be ordered by my hairdresser and is in a larger container than the usual salon containers. I do not mind that it has lost some of the 'glamorous' outside packaging as the inside is the same quality as I am accustomed to. I no longer use the R380 + products from the salon, but a way more affordable R48. Now that's worth switching for, don't you think?

Definitely worth switching! Sorry to sound a little like a parrot on this forum but what emotions/feelings were provoked by the change, if any? Or was it pure logic?

Girlfriend, I hear you. I love quality, but nothing makes me feel happier and more satisfied than finding a bargain on great quality stuff. I'm fussy too, I'm more interested in that glorious pampering feeling, than what box the product came in.

Thanks for that tip Zed. I cannot believe hair care products have become such a niche market and are becoming more and more expensive. Seems like the flood of all the new products has done little to bring prices down...I thought that was what competition was supposed to do.

I'm the complete opposite - I'll get suckered out of ludicrous amounts of money if a hair product is called something with rugged and in your face words in it, or a funky and catchy title and the branding has to be hot too. It all makes me feel better looking

I'm also a sucker for slick-looking hair products and don't mind paying a lot for a product that can do what it promises to do. There's a paste that makes my spikes jump for joi!
