So I always bought the same brand of hoover - I typoed that "sane brand" 1st time round haha irony. Anyway they were usually damn good suckers over the years, until the fail edition came out.
I sent a gentle complaint at first, because they'd always been so reliable. After quite a lengthy communication, they replaced the fail sucker with fail redux. Nothing sucks like fail redux, or so they said.
WEll they lied, quite frankly.
Have lodged yet another complaint and am awaiting the outcome. Except that the loser hoover is better at outgo than outcome.
WAit that didn't make sense.
NEver mind.

So your hoover sucks because it doesn't. And it's income is less than it's outgoings.
Have you got your eye on a better model?
What are you going to do?

you should get one of those little ones that hoover by themselves, quietly, minding their own business.

it sounds to me like that hoover brand you're talking about was so overly concerned with maintaining a good image that they completely forgot about tech and other key qualities... sadly it's like that with many products these days: nice facade, but ****ty inner life!

I think also, that brands that have been established for ages, sometimes grow smug and complacent, to the point where all their marketing just sounds irritatingly fatuous.
